Everyone’s experience will be unique, and some steps will take longer than others, but the basic roadmap is the same. Below, we have summarized the major phases based on milestones that happen along the way. By familiarizing yourself with the overall process, you can be better prepared for what’s in store.

STARTS WITH A DREAM.
This phase begins when you realize you’re ready to create something entirely your own. Whether you’ve been collecting inspiration for years or are just starting to explore your style, we’ll help you organize your ideas into something real.
IDEA GERMINATION
However long this step takes is up to you. It’s the stage where you’re dreaming, planning, and figuring out what you want from your future home.
ASSEMBLE A TEAM
We work closely with your chosen architect and designer, or we’re happy to recommend trusted partners. The most important thing is selecting a team that communicates well and understands your vision.
FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY
This is the right time to talk with your lender or accountant to determine your budget range. Once we understand your priorities, we can begin shaping a plan that makes the most of your investment.
Laying the Ground Work
FOR A SMOOTHER BUILD
With your plans in hand, we begin preparing everything needed to bring your home to life. This phase is all about clarity – clarity in expectations, scope, selections, and budget.
DETAILED BIDDING
Once we receive your engineered plans and specifications, we’ll put together a comprehensive bid. This includes all costs based on your chosen finishes, square footage, and site conditions.
SELECTIONS & SPECIFICATIONS
We’ll work with you to finalize your selections from tile to trim and everything in between. These choices help us lock in accurate numbers and timelines before construction begins.
PERMITTING & FINANCING
While you finalize financing with your lender, we’ll submit permit applications to your municipality. Permitting timelines vary by city, but we keep things moving by staying proactive and responsive.
Where Your Vision
STARTS TAKING SHAPE
This is the exciting part: breaking ground and watching your home rise, step by step. Our team is on-site daily and involved in every phase, keeping the quality high and the communication flowing.
ONSITE PROJECT MANAGER
You’ll have a dedicated project manager who visits daily, coordinates trades, and oversees progress. They’ll also upload daily logs and photos into our construction software so you stay informed without needing to be on site.
WEEKLY UPDATES
We send out weekly updates summarizing what happened, what’s next, and what decisions (if any) need to be made soon. You’ll always know what’s happening and what to expect.
ONSITE WALKTHROUGHS
We’ll meet at key stages (framing, mechanicals, finishes) to make sure every detail is lining up with your expectations.
Final Walk-through
TO MOVE IN DAY
As we near the finish line, we walk through every room with fresh eyes, making sure it’s perfect down to the last detail. We’re not just wrapping up construction – we’re preparing to hand over a home you’ll love for years to come.
PUNCH LIST WALKTHROUGH
Together, we’ll walk through the home and note any items that need attention. Then, we get to work making it just right.
FINAL INSPECTIONS & DELIVERY
Once everything is in place and all inspections are complete, we’ll walk through your new home, answer your questions, and hand over the keys.
ONE YEAR WARRANTY
Even after your one-year warranty expires, we’re here to help and point you in the right direction if something needs attention. Our relationships are built to last for years to come, just like our homes!
